We’re thrilled to announce that this Spring we are officially taking our Tour of Homes on the road to Colorado. This two day event will take place in Granby and Evergreen the weekend of May 18-19.
We’re rolling into fall with a full head of steam, chiseling sticks of wood into thousand pound puzzle pieces, sanding, staining, and standing ’em up in epic spots across the continent, then cladding them with a plush layer of energy-efficient structural insulated panels.
Our clients in the western states have been increasing each year.
It got us to thinking…
Winter presses on, the holidays are ancient history, and we’re taking a few minutes to share some of the ins and outs of what’s happening with our design and build team.
We’re heading back to school this fall with project updates, recent builds, and a brand new design.
The Metro, is all about neighborhood living and eye-catching curb appeal.
Like everyone, we’ve spent a little more time at home these last few years.
We’re not complaining — Western New York is a great place to live. We’ve got four seasons, a bustling city on the lake, swimming in the summer, skiing in the winter, and the best franchise in sports. (Go Bills!)
We have teams pounding nails in Colorado and Montana.
Our designers just sent fresh construction docs to the printer.
Interns and summer helpers buzz around our shop, bustling by our woodworker aces, who are covered in sawdust, blasting music through the building, cutting, sanding, staining, and stockpiling timber frames into every corner.
Dancing around our local quarantine list has been a high-intensity, short duration exercise but we’re getting it done with stops in Washington, Montana, and Oregon.
We’ve dealt with the brunt of the pandemic by shifting our build calendar around to focus on a handful of local projects.
It’s a strange new world out there.
Even though the Timberbuilt office staff has been working from home for over a month we’ve stayed busy, productive, and are positioning ourselves in the starting blocks, waiting for the shot to get out and start building again.
Autumn’s here, there’s a chill in the air, and it’s time to find a nice warm spot and hunker down for the winter.
BUT WE ARE NOT HUNKERERS .
Instead we have a beefy schedule of builds to keep us lean and mean through the coming months with stops in Big Sky country, the Pacific Northwest, the south, and a handful of projects right here in our backyard.
From the outer reaches of North America, 3,300 miles from home, with a pack of bloodthirsty Kodiak bears in pursuit — OUR FIELD TEAM IS BACK — and they’ve got the tattered clothes and facial hair to prove it.
OCEANFRONT WORK SITES, 16 HOURS OF SUNLIGHT A DAY, AND THE WORLD’S LARGEST BEARS
What more could we ask for?
This May we travel to Kodiak Island off the southern coast of Alaska as the first team to begin construction at Cliff Point Estates — an outdoor lover’s paradise-development which sits on a striking peninsula inside the Gulf of Alaska.
We’ve continued to rack up the frequent flyer miles with recent projects ranging from southern Colorado to South Dakota to the Poconos in Pennsylvania.
Here’s a look at a few.
Our generous clients have opened their doors to us once again and on June 2nd we’ll be hosting a self-guided tour of three local Timberbuilt homes from 10am-2pm. We’ll be operating under the massive timber frame we constructed inside the Ellicottville Brewing Company where you can have a few beers on us.
This covered bridge is part of our current project in Springville, NY where we’re building a home for our company founder, George.
We’ve been using the construction of his house to test a lot of our data on aggressively right-sizing HVAC systems.
In 2017 we built homes on the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Niagara Escarpment in Canada, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Ohio River Valley, and across the great plains in Iowa and Michigan.
We spent weeks in the wind swept high plains, the Front Range of the Rockies and in the high altitude ski country of the Continental Divide.
The Timberbuilt Tour of Homes 2017 is only two weeks away.
Join us afterwards at the Ellicottville Brewing Company for a little elbow rubbing, meet the team, and enjoy a few brews on us.
