ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
You manage the pre-construction design phase of our process — meeting with clients, developing floor plans, renderings, and construction drawings while ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with our design staff to produce architectural drawings in AutoCAD including plans, sections, and elevations
- 3D modeling in SketchUp
- Assisting with contract paperwork and project management
- Create renderings for marketing materials and client presentations
- Coordinate drawings with our installation team
- Engage with clients throughout the design process via phone meetings, Zoom calls, and in-person meetings
- Manage a small team of drafters
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educated with a 4 year degree in Architecture (or something similar)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD and SketchUp to produce functional, accurate construction documents
- Experience using render engines like d5 or Enscape
- A willing team player, able to integrate with multiple departments – design, operations, marketing and sales
- Confident in your opinions and your style — we want a designer first and foremost, with drawing skills, a great eye for detail, and the taste to make all kinds of things look good especially within the modern-mountain style of our homes
- Excited to work closely with clients through our entire process, assisting them with decisions ranging from architectural layout, high-efficiency mechanicals, landscaping, orientation, and interior design
ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTER
You contribute to our architectural design team by leveraging your AutoCAD and SketchUp skills to create detailed construction drawings and renderings. Communication skills are also a must as you will be trading detailed information with clients and educating them throughout the design process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working under our Architectural Designer to produce architectural drawings/renderings
- Educating and interacting with clients throughout the design process
- Code/product research
- Supporting our team with administrative help in any ways necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communication skills to trade information with clients by phone and email
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- 1-3 years experience (or degree in related field)
